What To Expect

Step 1

Free, no obligation consultation to discuss your concerns and provide a tailored treatment plan

Step 2

Very small injections are given just below the surface of the skin to administer the product.

There is very little, to no discomfort due to numbing cream applied to the injection area to make the treatment as comfortable as possible.

Step 3

Botox results begin to show after 3–5 days, with full effects in about 2 weeks.

Dermal filler results are visible immediately, with final settling over the following days once any slight swelling diminishes.

Downtime & Aftercare

Most treatments involve little to no downtime. You may experience minor swelling, redness or bruising which usually settles within 24–48 hours. We’ll provide full aftercare guidance and are always available if you have any questions post-treatment.

FAQs

  • We are all about enhancing your beauty and tweaking what is already there and makes us who we are. We provide free consultations to new patients where we discuss concerns, treatment options and achievability.

We are here to help you understand what it is that we can do to achieve your desired look, not simply inject a set volume of filler. Investing in your practitioner and finding one that you believe in is the hardest step of all and we are honoured to have the trust of our ongoing patients that allow us to work on their beautiful faces time and time again.

  • Yes. At Crafted Dental, our aesthetic work is subtle and refined.

We believe you should look like yourself, just more rested, balanced, and confident.

  • They temporarily relax the muscles that cause lines and wrinkles, helping to smooth the skin and prevent deeper creases from forming.

  • A topical anaesthetic cream will be applied to your lips for about 20 minutes before your treatment. You can also request to have dental injections to fully numb your lips before hand if you would like.

  • People often ask why they should see a medical professional for their facial aesthetics over a cheaper high street option.

We have spent a long time studying anatomy of the head and neck and the underlying important structures such as nerves, blood vessels and muscles. This allows us to have a better understanding of how the face works as a whole instead of individual areas and therefore tailor treatment to you as a unique individual, rather than a one size fits all approach. We can provide you with the in depth knowledge that you require to explain why we are doing a procedure in the first place.

In addition, we are prescribers and therefore are the only practitioners that can prescribe emergency drugs and hyaluronidase (hyalase) which is used in emergency situations to dissolve dermal fillers if required.

While dermal fillers can be bought by almost anyone, and treatment carried out in unsafe environments, hyaluronidase has to be prescribed by a medical professional. We highly recommend that you should only ever have lip and dermal filler treatment if you know the clinic has hyaluronidase on hand in case of emergencies.

You should never compromise on quality. Your skin is an investment, not an expense.

  • This is the most common question we get asked.

It all depends on how much volume loss has occurred and what look you want to achieve. For example, someone starting out with thinner lips, it would be advisable to start out with a lesser amount to allow your lips time to expand. If you inject too much product at once the filler can migrate to the surrounding areas. If someone already has a fuller pout but would like definition, then the lips will be able to take more product. This will all be explained at your consultation appointment based on your lip morphology and your end goal.

  • Botox typically lasts 3–4 months, while dermal fillers can last anywhere from 6–12 months depending on the area and product used.

  • Botox results begin to show after 3–5 days, with full effects in about 2 weeks.

Dermal filler results are visible immediately, with final settling over the following days once any slight swelling diminishes. It should be noted that the most swelling occurs 24 hours after having the treatment and will then decrease from then.

This should be taken into consideration if you are getting filler for a big event.

  • Absolutely. Many patients choose to treat multiple areas during the same visit, for example, cheeks and lips, or Botox with chin filler.

We’ll help you plan what’s best for your goals and budget.

  • A poor injecting technique, use of the wrong filler in the wrong place and various other inexperienced or unknowledgeable applications of dermal filler may lead to lumps, bumps, discolouration and migration of filler to unwanted places. This can also occur if you simply have not been appropriately advised by your practitioner and too high a volume of filler has been injected within too short a time frame. If this is the case we would advise that we dissolve the filler that has migrated and then start again.

Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that exists naturally in your body already. When you get lip fillers normally, low levels of naturally occurring hyaluronidase are the reason they break down over time. If you need your fillers dissolved and removed more quickly, we simply inject safe, more concentrated doses of hyaluronidase to break down the hyaluronic acid in the filler formula, which is then carried away by your body’s own natural systems.
